This module is accredited as an add-on skill to your existing holistic therapies qualification, and may be studied on it’s own or as part of our inspiring iSRT© Sound Therapy study pathway.
We combine the power of drum sound healing and the neuroscience of nature for a highly effective method of stress reduction for assistance with the relief and prevention of all stress-related illness and dis-ease, and improved health & well-being.
Grá Na gCrainn Earth Spirit Forest Bathing© is a unique fusion of ancient wisdom and modern scientific research for a truly uplifting and transformational self-healing experience.
A special feature of this day will be a 1 hour masterclass on how to play Celtic rhythms – with special guest professional Bodhrain player. Learn how to play traditional Celtic bodhrain drum rhythms as in insight into our Celtic musical culture.

Included is tuition & practice time in the studio with many popular sound therapy instruments including hand and hung gongs, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, various types of drums including ocean drum, shaman drum, bodhrain, hang drum, chimes, kalimba, rainstick, flutes, harmonium and more.
Includes a forest drum journey experience in the forest recreation area less than 200 metres away (weather permitting).
Competencies
On completion of this expert training you will discover how to master the following skills with regular practice:
- Describe the history and benefits of healing with sound & nature
- Induce and maintain deep rest and relaxation with a range of drum techniques
- Understand the importance of effectively & safely working with trance states
- Clearing techniques with sacred drum
- Conduct a drum healing or journey meditation for self, individual or groups
- Design & create a simple rattle
- Design & create a sacred drum beater
Required Equipment
You are required to bring your own drum – this can be any drum you are called to work with.
Recommended frame drums are Remo Buffalo drum Fyberskin. (off-white color). Click on the link below to browse my favourites on Amazon, from professional drum-makers Remo. You’ll learn on the training why these synthetic shaman drums are best for outdoor work here in Ireland.
For those who prefer to work with a goat skin drum, we can recommend a maker right here in Ireland who runs drum making workshops around the country on a regular basis for you to make your own drum.
Pre-requisites:
This training is suitable for anyone with a calling to discover more about working with the sacred drum and Celtic Forest Healing Wisdom for healing mind body and spirit. There are no formal pre-requisites for this workshop.
