Pre-Requisites

 

For Professional use – You are required to have (or working towards) a recognised qualification to work with people.  For example teacher or Mind Body Professional including (but not limited to) Sound Therapist, Yoga Teacher, School Teacher, Mindfulness Trainer, Workplace Trainer, Meditation Teacher, Beauty Spa Therapist, Complementary & Holistic Therapist of any kind, including Reiki Practitioner.

The Certificate of Completion awarded at the end of class is recognised by insurance companies right away as an add-on to your existing skills and qualifications.

This training is for innovative mind body practitioners who are ready to take their expertise to the next level.

For non-Professional use – this workshop may be studied by anyone for their own interest and personal development for non-professional use.

Accreditation

This training is fully accredited with The CNMA (Complementary & Natural Medicine Association) and SHAI (Sound Healing Association of Ireland).

For qualified mind body & holistic professionals, this training also includes 1 year Practitioner Registration with The CNMA and you are eligible to join SHAI (Sound Healing Association of Ireland) as a Professional Member.

Pathways to Further Study

This 2-day module is the foundation module of our Master Instructor’s Diploma of Sacred Sound Relaxation Therapy© (SSRT©)

On completion of this 2-day training, you will be eligible to continue with your choice of Diploma modules.

If you wish to train further as a Sound Therapist for Clinical Practice you are also eligible to enrol in further study with our Master Practitioner’s Diploma of Therapeutic Sound & Vibrational Medicine

Work Opportunities

biOn completion of this 2 day professional training, if you are not yet qualified to work with paying clients, you will be eligible to progress with further study of 2 more modules to complete your Diploma.

If you are already qualified to work with paying clients, you can use your new skills with paying clients right away.

You may advertise Sacred Sound Meditation events.

You may use the following job titles:

  • Certified Sound Bath Meditation Facilitator/Instructor

This 2-Day training doesn’t qualify you as a Sound Therapist, or to make any claims of any healing other than what is already proven by science for biofield therapies, meditation and self-healing.

For that you must correctly qualify as a Professional Sound Therapist by completing our Master Practitioner’s Diploma of Therapeutic Sound & Vibrational Medicine along with a Recognised qualification in Anatomy & Physiology.

This is a great opportunity for Yoga Teachers, Sound therapists, or any mind body professionals of any kind, with a calling to enhance their skills as a meditation teacher with the transformative self-healing power of the Gong.

Curriculum

Day 2 is your opportunity to go deeper into the sacred art of Gong Mastery with advanced practices, sacred ceremony, and powerful techniques to expand your sound healing skills.

This CPD accredited, Yoga Alliance certified advanced module is open to all who have completed Day 1 of the training, wishing to take their Gong practice to the next level with advanced mastery techniques.

During this intensive advanced training you will explore:

  • The Art of Sacred Ceremony, including Cacao Ceremony & Gong Puja
  • Advanced Gong Playing Techniques for Therapeutic Benefits
  • Gong for Deep Trance & Journeying
  • Sacred Space Holding – Ritual & Ceremony Skills
  • Gong for Energy Clearing & Spiritual Development
  • Gong as a tool for Primordial Consciousness Connection
  • Using Gong in Group Ceremony & Stage Performance
  • Safe Outdoor Sound Healing – Common Mistakes to Avoid
  • Integrating Gong into Personal & Professional Practice
  • Advanced 28-Day Gong Practice to continue your journey

This immerseive training also forms part of our Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas but can also be studied independently by those with an existing relevant qualification.  May also be studied for personal interest and non-professional use.

Our very own Yoga of Sound Studio & Nature Retreat Ballyhooly, in the foothills of the picturesque Nagle Mountains in North Co.Cork. approx. 35 minutes north of Cork City.  We are blessed with an abundance of woodland and riverside walks at the front door, and many ancient sacred sites within 10 minutes drive.

What to Bring:

  • Your lunch
  • Notepad & pen if you wish to take notes.
  • Your gong, stand & mallets if you have them – you will not be expected to allow others to use your gong.
  • Comfortable clothes – as for a yoga class as you will need freedom of movement for playing the gong.  (Best to avoid wearing jeans)
  • Walking shoes and outdoor clothes in case you wish to take a lunchtime walk in the tranquil Castleblagh Woods just 100m away.
