Founder & Master Intuitive Sound Therapist (Australia)

Our Founder & Head of Research, Training & Development is Australian Intuitive Sound & Energy Therapist, Musician, Yogi & Non-denominational Interfaith Minister Sharon Quigley (Ponsford) who is based in Ireland with her Irish musician & composer husband since 2013. .

A former Software Engineer and College Lecturer, Sharon brings a vast knowledge and expertise to her teachings gained from over 30 years experience with sound & frequency medicine, in a range of clinical, research and education settings.

A former College Lecturer in her homeland Australia, Sharon’s highly effective teaching style embodies the philosophy of natural learning – a stress-free learner-centred approach to education, modern workplace training. Creating a highly inspiring, effective and engaging learning environment focused wholly and completely on the unique learning needs and abilities of the individual, rather than the one-size-fits-all approach of the traditional school model.

With Sharon here at International Academy of Sound Therapy, you are free to choose how quickly or slowly it takes for you complete your studies. You can repeat your studies at any time within 5 years of original attendance completely free of charge to ensure you get the most from your learning.

Background

Sharon has had a varied and interesting career background which has taken her through various roles in a range of industries over the years.

Sharon’s introduction to sound & frequency medicine commenced with one of Perth, Western Australia’s busy naturopath clinics in the 1990s where she studied for nearly a decade. This is where Sharon first discovered the many miracles of healing with targeted sound frequencies.

At the end of 2012 Sharon relocated to Ireland, where she took the opportunity for further study to progress her Holistic career and now enjoys the following part-time roles:

In April 2021, Sharon was honoured to open her first Yoga Studio and training centre in Cork City (Yoga of Sound Studio) where she relocated her Mind Body Clinic. In 2023 Sharon relocated her studio and clinic thirty minutes north of Cork City to Ballyhooly North Co.Cork.

Where she continues to provide a range of holistic therapy treatments along with accredited practitioner training and workshops at her Country Nature Retreat & Holistic Academy in a tranquil setting, at the foot of the Nagle Mountains in the north cork hinterland and the Blackwater Valley.
