However no previous experience is necessary to commence our training. Our practitioner training is suitable for everyone regardless of existing skills and experience.
We use proven and effective teaching methods designed for adults in the workplace to ensure that each lesson (and assessment) is not only inspiring and engaging but also relevant to the needs of each and every learner.
Your intuitive abilities are awakened and encouraged as you discover how to sense energies of sound at each moment in time and space as the sound interacts with the energy field of the individual.
You will discover how to develop your confidence as an intuitive sound therapist and each time you see the results achieved by your clients you will be further inspired!
The Earth Sounds© Method of Natural Healing with Sound & Frequency Medicine developed by our Founder & Principal from over 30+ years experience working with sound medicine in a range of clinical, education and research settings, uses and recommends Therapy-grade Peter Hess© Himalayan singing bowls, and precision UK-manufactured therapy-grade tuning forks.
Each of our respected Tutors works with their own clients on a regular basis, which means they practice what they teach, and that each is able to draw from their own real clinical and practical experience. This ensures the training you receive with us is not only engaging, inspiring and relevant but is also second to none.
At Irish Academy of Sound Therapy we use and recommend the best tools & equipment from renowned manufacturers we know and trust. We use Peter Hess© therapy grade singing bowls for best results with clients in our clinic.
We also use and recommend the best quality tuning forks manufactured in the UK for over 160 years. Each turning fork is made with meticulous attention to perfection from medically certified and aerospace quality aluminium. This ensures the quality and integrity of the tuning will remain, and when used with correct techniques as taught during your course, your tuning forks will last for many years.
We offer the following study pathways, commencing with the optional:
TSMPD1 – Foundation Certificate in Sound & Energy Medicine
An optional beginners level course which includes Usui Reiki Level 1. Many are exempted from this 1 day basic training based on their existing skills and experience. If you are new to the world of Holistic Therapies this module will be beneficial to you.
Original Usui Reiki system of Natural Healing is recommended for Sound Therapists, but is not compulsory for our Diplomas.
Complementary Therapists including Yoga Teachers may be exempted from the TSMPD1 Foundation Module. Exemption for this beginners level foundation certificate course is self-assessed. If after reading the course outline you believe you are exempt, you can proceed directly with enrolling in Level 1 of your chosen Diploma study pathway.

Introducing Our Inspiring
Sound Therapy & Sound Bath Courses
Each Module of our Diplomas is accredited as a stand-alone course which means each Module can be studied at your own pace, either as an add-on to your existing qualifications and skills, or as part of your continuing Diploma studies.
As workplace trainers we also train on demand, so if you don’t find what you are looking for already on our schedule, or the dates don’t suit you for any reason, you can request the next training on a date which suits you, subject to availability.
Sound & Vibrational Medicine (Sound Therapy) Master Practitioner’s Diploma
For those with a calling to embark on a Holistic Career as a Sound Therapist in Clinical Practice, or those who wish to add Sound Therapy to their existing skills.
