Accreditation & Certification
On completion of our 2-day iSR© Sound Medicine Level 1 module, you will be certified as an iSR© Sound Bath Professional and have a qualification to obtain insurance to conduct sound bath meditation classes for groups so you can work right away as soon as you feel you are ready.
If you are already qualified as a holistic therapist in any modality, you will also be certified to use single bowl sound massage in your existing holistic therapy practice right away, with your Level 1 Certificate accredited as an add-on to any existing qualification in energy therapy or other related holistic therapies.
You will receive 1 year registration with The CNMA and can avail of the CNMA insurance discount with their recommended insurance provider.

What is Sound Therapy ?
Sound therapy is a complementary health treatment, with the client lying comfortabley and fully clothed on a therapy table with a blanket over, while the expert practitioner uses a variety of specialist sound therapy musical instruments to create a range of musical sounds. One or more of the musical instruments are placed at certain locations both on and around the body while the sounds are emanating from the instruments.
The goal of sound therapy is to create a state of deep rest and relaxation in the body, in order to trigger the natural self-healing response which usually occurs during good quality sleep.
Working in combination with chakra energy centres along with various accupressure and reflexology points, the sound waves generated by the sound massage therapy can be directed to improve the flow of Qi or life-force energy throughout the body. Including where energy may be stuck and in need of clearing and/or a general energy balance.
Sound therapy may assist with the relief and prevention of the symptoms of many stress-related illnesses and diseases.
The IAST method of Sound Massage Therapy© as developed and taught by us here at Irish Academy of Sound Therapy, which focuses on the use of therapy grade metal bowls, tuning forks, gongs, chimes and other instruments to generate sound vibrations, is emerging as a highly effective method of sound therapy.
So far we have seen some remarkable clinical results, although more research is needed to accuratley establish the full range of health benefits.
What are the Health Benefits of Sound Therapy ?
So far our clinical results are showing that our unique method of sound massage therapy is highly effective at rapidly inducing the necessary states of deep rest and relaxation necessary for this self-healing to occur.
In all cases presented so far, this deep rest, relaxation and self-healing has resulted in the reduction and in some cases, the complete elimination of the symptoms of many health conditions including anxiety, chronic migraine, facial myalgia, sleep disorders, joint & muscle pain, fibromyalgia, tinnitus and many other stress-related conditions.
